On the 8th October, smack bang in the middle of pit-bull awareness month, we held our first ever charity golf day at Observatory Golf Course. The Pitties called and the golfers arrived!
A little thunderstorm halfway through the day wasn’t enough to dampen anyone’s spirits. After an hours break (and one or two drinks) at the club house, the golfers where back on the course to putt for our pitties.
While the golfers were back on the course working on their swings on freshly water clogged grass, the Love-A-Bull SA team took the opportunity to give our dedicated leader, Judy Meyers, a few tokens of our appreciation. There was not a single dry eye in the room when Judy was given a plaque dedicated to the memory of her late four legged child, Miss White. The plaque will be installed on Love-A-Bull SA’s, soon to be built, clinic for the rehabilitation of rescued dogs.
As the day came to an end, and scores were tallied, it was time for supper and the prize giving gala. The day was a great success. Thank you Observatory Golf Course for helping us to host the golf day. To all our hole sponsors, tee sponsors, and golfers, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for joining us and making the day a success. Thank you to all of you who sponsored prizes. We had great photographers on the course who did an excellent job at documenting the day. To LazerWorks, who sponsored the plaque that made our day and brought the entire love a bull team to tears, we give a big pittie thank you.
We hope to see more of you on the course next year!!!
